Thrivent Financial for Lutherans has been recognized by numerous organizations for a variety of programs and initiatives, from being a great place to work to having an innovative green strategy. Below is a list of our recent honors and awards (PDF, 373K).
Star Tribune Top Workplaces (Minneapolis-St. Paul) (2011, 2010) |

| For the second year in a row, Thrivent Financial was named a Star Tribune Top Workplace. The program recognizes 100 companies within the region. The survey of employees measured six factors about the workplace, including: pay and benefits, working conditions, career growth opportunities, satisfaction with management, organizational execution, and overall direction. Thrivent Financial ranked as the 13th best large company to work for and was the top company in the work/life flexibility category. | ![]() |

The Salvation Army Others and Business Partner of the Year Awards (2011, 2009) |

| In the Fox Cities, Thrivent Financial and The Salvation Army received the
Business Partnership Award in 2011 as a result of combined efforts for the Red
Kettle campaign, held during the Christmas season over the past seven years. A
total of $1.6 million has been raised for the community in that time through
member and employee involvement. Thrivent Financial also received The Salvation Army Others Award in 2009. The award recognizes individuals or organizations that exemplify compassion for others, demonstrate giving and inspire others to do the same. The Salvation Army highlighted Thrivent Financial for Lutherans and the Thrivent Financial for Lutherans Foundation's charitable outreach throughout the year in 2009, but focused on the success of the annual Red Kettle Match Day as the primary achievement that led to this award. |

Excellence in Financial Literacy Education (EIFLE) Award (2011, 2010, 2009, 2008) |

| The EIFLE Award acknowledges "innovation and quality of financial literacy
education efforts and the commitment of those that offer them," according to
the Institute for Financial Literacy, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to
make effective financial literacy education available for all American adults. Thrivent Financial has received Excellence in Financial Literacy Education (EIFLE) Awards from the Institute for Financial Literacy for four consecutive years. In 2011, Thrivent Financial took top honors in the Education Program of the Year—Adult General Category for the workshop "College Matters: Ways to Avoid Costly Mistakes and Discover Funding Sources." Thrivent Financial also won in the Education Program of the Year–Adult Investing and Retirement Planning Category for the workshop "My Retirement Matters." In 2010, the workshop "Identity Theft: What You Need to Know," took top honors in the category of Curriculum of the Year, Postsecondary/Adults Credit. The workshop "Charitable Giving: How to Make a Difference by Giving Back" won in the same category in 2009. The workshop "More Than Money Matters" was recognized with an EIFLE Award in 2008 as well. |

Barron's/Lipper Ranking of Top Mutual Fund Families (2010) |

| Each year, Barron's and fund-tracking firm Lipper Inc. survey mutual fund families to rank the best overall performers in the following categories: equity funds, world equity funds, mixed equity funds, taxable bond funds and taxexempt bond funds.
