Thrivent Financial and its members provided more than $5 million in community outreach within the Florida region in 2007. We work with organizations such as the Florida/Georgia District, LCMS; Florida/Bahamas Synod, ELCA; All Children's Hospital, Tampa; Lutheran Social Services; Lutheran Services Florida; Lutheran Counseling Services; and Lutheran Outdoor Ministries of Florida.
In 2008, our regional financial office will help build 12 homes through Thrivent Builds with Habitat for Humanity®.
Scott Morris, CLU, FIC, FICF, LUTCF
When asked to describe his outlook on life and his career, Scott sums it up in one word, "Positive!"
Scott hit the ground running when he joined the organization as a financial representative in 1986 and he hasn't stopped since. His positive attitude and leadership skills led him to a managing partner position with the Rocky Mountain Regional Financial Office in 2002. Two years later, he became the managing partner for the Florida Regional Financial Office. The professionals on his team respect Scott for his integrity, upbeat attitude and his ability to guide the office to continued growth.
Scott's professional accomplishments include:
- CLU (Chartered Life Underwriter), a designation granted by the American College, Bryn Mawr, PA.
- LUTCF (Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow), a designation jointly conferred by The American College, Bryn Mawr, PA, and NAIFA.
- FICF (Fraternal Insurance Counselor Fellow).
- FIC (Fraternal Insurance Counselor), a designation granted by the Fraternal Field Managers' Association.
- MDRT Member (Million Dollar Round Table), an independent association that is recognized as an international standard of excellence in the life insurance and financial services industry.
- National Sales Achievement Award.

Scott and his wife, Eunice, have three daughters and live in Sanford, Florida. In his free time Scott enjoys golf as well as other sports, and spending time with his family. Scott and his family attend St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Oviedo, Florida.
