Just as your practice evolves, so do your own personal development needs.  As a financial representative, you will have access to career development programs and resources to help you initiate and strengthen your business practice and relationships with Thrivent Financial members.

  • Explore various options of designing and building an efficient and effective practice.
  • Advance to one of three distinct financial representative roles at Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, each one representing a different set of qualifications such as industry experience, past sales production, licensing, advanced education and product access. Your RFO leadership team can help you determine an appropriate path based on your interests and desires.
  • Participate in unique workshops designed to dramatically improve the effectiveness of your business, including:
    • Building a Referable Practice – A program for FRs designed to provide the tools needed to properly assess your practice and implement changes to take your practice to the next level.
    • Defining a Client Service Model – This series of workshops is designed for FR's who are looking to develop and execute on a well-defined process to help you meet your clients' needs.

Industry-based Professional Development

Thrivent Financial supports the pursuit of advanced designations that enable FRs to serve the ever-changing needs of their members.

  • Depending on the course or designation being pursued, a reimbursement may be available to help offset tuition costs.
  • As a fraternal benefit society, we encourage all new financial representatives to achieve the Fraternal Insurance Counselor (FIC) designation within 12 to 15 months of contracting with Thrivent Financial.
