Important Dates and Key Reminders for 2012

Jan 6 Epiphany
Mid-Jan Report year-end statement will be available for chapters. This year-end statement is necessary for the chapter audit, and must be completed and signed by Feb. 28, 2012. See details about the Chapter Summary Report and the chapter audit.
Early to Mid-Jan Thrivent will deposit operating funds into the checking accounts of chapters that are scheduled to receive them in January. See details about operating funds deposits.
Mid-Jan Thrivent will allocate Care Abounds in Communities® funding for chapters that are scheduled to receive them in January. Chapter leaders may begin to enter 2012 Care Abounds in Communities® activity/funding requests online.

Mar 31 Enter the chapter's first quarter operating fund expenses on the Chapter Leadership Administration page under Manage Chapter Operating Funds.
Apr 1 Palm Sunday
Apr 1 to May 30 Chapters may nominate candidates for the national board of directors' election.
Apr 6 Good Friday (main offices closed except bank).
Apr 8 Easter
Mid-Apr Thrivent will deposit operating funds into the checking accounts of chapters that are scheduled to receive them. The chapter's completed and signed Chapter Summary Report from 2011 must be on file with Thrivent Financial.

Early Dec Completed leader conflict of interest informational questionnaires due to chapter president.
Dec 18 The last day that new 2012 activity/funding requests can be made. No exceptions.
Dec 19 The functionality to enter activity/funding requests online will be shut down.
Dec 24 Christmas Eve (main offices closed)
Dec 25 Christmas Day
Dec 31 The desired last day to report all 2012 chapter activities online. This is the desired deadline because 2012 activities reported after Dec. 31 will not be counted for 2012 totals.
Dec 31 Report all 2012 operating funds expenses on the Manage Chapter Operating Funds screens by this date.
Dec 31 Last day for recording 2012 chapter election results.
Dec 31 Last day 2012 chapter leaders can access the online reporting system.
Dec 31 Due date for chapters to submit a new Chapter Depository Authorization (bank signature card) and Security Questions Request form (PDF, 754K) if there are changes to whom should have access to the chapter checking account in 2013.
Dec 31 Conflict of interest questionnaires from chapter presidents with one or more 'yes' responses due in the Appleton office.
Dec 31 Thrivent Builds chapter specialists and/or congregational champions should report all 2012 Thrivent Builds activities by this date.
