Computer system requirements
Because more than 90 percent of our volunteer leaders (chapter leaders and
congregational advocates) are Windows PC and Internet Explorer users, the
Chapter Leadership Administration and Congregational Advocate
Administration sections of www.thrivent.com are built to support this
platform most easily. Many volunteer leaders without this platform also are able to use
these sections with no problems. However, some people without the required
platform (e.g., Macintosh users) may experience problems making it difficult
to perform volunteer leader responsibilities.
As you recruit chapter
leaders and congregational advocates, please inform them of this platform
and the recommended system requirements, which are documented below:
Thrivent.com is best accessed using one of the following browsers with JavaScript, cookies and images enabled, a medium/normal text size setting, and a minimum screen resolution setting of 1024x768:
- Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.x, 7.x or 8.x.
Note: Windows 7 users with Internet Explorer 8 may not be able to chat online with a service representative.
- Mozilla Firefox 3.x.
- Apple Safari 5.x.
Note: Apple Safari users may not be able to add or delete portlets in MyThrivent or chat online with a service representative.
- Google Chrome 10.x.
Note: Google Chrome users may not be able to add or delete portlets in MyThrivent, chat online with a service representative, update beneficiaries within MyAccounts, login to Lutherans Online Chat, or create custom styles for new blog entries created within Lutherans Online Blogs.
We also recommend:
- Adobe Reader 10.x or above.
- Adobe Flash Player 10.x or above.
- Java 6.x or above.
Other browsers, tools and readers may work, but we cannot guarantee quality access.
